Enhance Your Features with Aesthetic Antidote

Microblading

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure used to enhance, shape, or fill in eyebrows. It involves using a small handheld tool with tiny, fine needles to apply pigment to the skin in hair-like strokes, mimicking the appearance of natural eyebrow hairs. The result is more defined, fuller-looking brows that can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on skin type and how well the area is cared for.

The procedure typically involves numbing the area to minimize discomfort, and the results look very natural.

Micro shaded brows

Microshaded brows, also known as "powder brows," are a semi-permanent eyebrow technique that creates a soft, powdered, and filled-in look. Unlike microblading, which uses hair-like strokes to mimic natural eyebrow hairs, microshading uses a small machine to create tiny, pixelated dots of pigment that blend together to give a fuller, more defined look.

The result is a softer, more even brow with a natural gradient effect, often with a slightly more makeup-like finish. It’s a great option for people who want the look of fuller brows without the sharp, defined lines that come with traditional eyebrow pencils or gels. Microshading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type and aftercare.

Micro feathered Brows

Microfeathered brows are very similar to microblading but with a slightly different approach. In microfeathering, the technique focuses more on creating natural, delicate strokes that mimic the look of real eyebrow hairs, especially for those with sparse or over-plucked brows. The goal is to add fine, feathery strokes to blend in with your natural brow hairs, enhancing the overall shape while keeping a more soft and natural look.

It's typically done with a very fine blade, much like microblading, but the strokes are often lighter and more spaced out. This method works great for people with fuller natural brows or those wanting to enhance their existing shape without a dramatic change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, there are a few things you can do to prepare for your brow procedure to help ensure the best results and a smooth experience:

  1. Avoid certain products: For about 1-2 weeks before your appointment, try to avoid using products with retinol or any exfoliating treatments around your eyebrows. These can make your skin more sensitive and affect the pigment retention.
  2. Don’t wax or pluck: Avoid waxing or plucking your brows at least 3 days before your appointment. You want your brow hairs to be in their natural state, so the technician can shape them properly. It's also a good idea to skip tweezing right before your appointment, so the technician can work with your natural brow shape.
  3. Stay out of the sun: Try to avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning beds for at least a week before your appointment, as sunburned skin can be more sensitive and may affect the healing process.
  4. Avoid alcohol and caffeine: The day before or the day of the procedure, it’s best to avoid alcohol or caffeine, as they can increase bleeding and make the procedure more difficult.
  5. Don’t take blood thinners: If you're on any medication or supplements that thin your blood (like aspirin), you might want to check with your doctor to see if it’s okay to stop them temporarily before your appointment, as they can cause more bleeding.
  6. Bring your brow inspiration: If you have a specific look or shape in mind, bring reference pictures to show your technician. This helps ensure you’re both on the same page about what you want.
  7. Arrive with clean skin: Make sure your face is clean and free from makeup, oils, or lotions on the day of the procedure.

Aftercare for a brow procedure is essential to ensure proper healing and optimal results. Here are the general aftercare guidelines:

  1. Avoid Touching or Scratching: Refrain from touching your brows during the healing process to prevent infection. Avoid scratching, picking, or rubbing the area, as this can affect the final result.
  2. Keep the Area Clean: Gently clean your brows with a mild, non-alcoholic cleanser and a soft cotton pad. Do this once or twice a day to remove any excess oil or residue, but avoid over-washing.
  3. Moisturize: Apply a thin layer of the recommended aftercare ointment or cream, usually provided by your technician, to keep the area moisturized. Do this for the first 7-10 days, or as directed.
  4. Avoid Water: For the first 10 days, avoid getting your brows wet, including swimming, saunas, or excessive sweating. This helps prevent the pigment from fading and allows the skin to heal properly.
  5. Avoid Makeup: Do not apply makeup directly on your brows for at least 10 days after the procedure. This includes brow pencils, powders, or gels.
  6. Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds for at least 2-3 weeks. UV exposure can cause the pigment to fade and irritate the healing skin.
  7. No Exfoliation: Do not exfoliate or use harsh skincare products on or near the brow area while healing.
  8. Avoid Smoking: Smoking can slow the healing process and may impact the final results of your microblading.
  9. Allow Scabbing to Fall Off Naturally: During the healing process, your brows may form scabs. Let them fall off naturally—do not pick at them. This helps ensure the pigment remains intact.
  10. Follow-up Appointment: Schedule a follow-up appointment, typically 6-8 weeks after your initial session, for any necessary touch-ups to ensure the best possible results.

The healing process typically takes 7-14 days, depending on the area tattooed and the individual's healing process. During this time, the tattooed area may scab, itch, and flake as it heals.
